
Pete Tutak
Chief Pilot
Pete joined Mountain Air Cargo, Inc. in August of 2003 and currently serves as Chief Pilot. With an aviation career spanning four decades, he helps drive a safety-first operating culture by setting clear pilot standards and supporting safe, consistent day-to-day operations. Pete’s leadership emphasizes disciplined execution, practical coaching, and continuous improvement—working closely with Safety, Maintenance, and operational leadership to manage risk, reinforce procedural compliance, and strengthen performance across the network.
Prior to becoming Chief Pilot in 2014, Pete served on the flight line as a Captain on the Cessna Caravan and, later, as a Captain on the ATR, and served as a Check Airman. During his tenure as Chief Pilot, he has also served as Director of Operations when needed and was a contributing member of the ATR-600 Flight Operations Evaluation Board.
Pete holds a bachelor’s degree in physics.
