Mountain Air Cargo Introduces SJU-PTP Route Using Unit Load Device (ULD) System in C408 Fleet
Mountain Air Cargo is thrilled to announce the implementation of the ULD (Unit Load Device) system configuration for the international route from SJU to PTP. This change will take effect on Tuesday, August 5th, with aircraft 765FX. The new freight configuration will replace the previous bulk loading system on this route, offering several operational efficiencies and benefits for our customer.
Unlike the traditional “bulk loading” approach, a unit load device is specifically designed for efficient freight loading. This method allows for:
- Pre-loading of cargo, ensuring a proper fit in the aircraft
- Streamlined aircraft weight and balance planning
- Reduced labor and time during the loading process
The integration of the ULD system is anticipated to improve the overall efficiency of our cargo handling, and we are eager to continue using this optimized loading process in the C408 fleet.
