MAC Team Organizes Relief Flight to Union Island Following the Devastation Caused by Hurricane Beryl

Hurricane Beryl caused extensive damage as it swept through the Caribbean, particularly impacting Union Island, where 90% of the homes have been either destroyed or damaged. Late last Wednesday, MAC Operations got started on a relief flight operation to deliver key necessities to the island, such as food, water, tools, toiletries, air mattresses, and a generator. That relief flight took place Friday afternoon, thanks to Captain Darren James, SLU Mechanic Charles Pinnock, the entire operations team, and FedEx.

Leading the effort on the ground in St. Lucia, Charles Pinnock of Island Aero LTD, stated “The logistics of putting together a relief flight was daunting. MAC, together with St. Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association (SLHTA) and National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) was able to pull together 1300 lbs. of supplies. The mission dispatched and returned seamlessly.”

It is in times like these where MAC’s dedication and commitment to service shines through. We are extremely grateful for each and every one of our team members that helped make this relief flight operation happen!
