Mountain Air Cargo, CSA Air, and WASI Attend Annual RACCA Event
Mountain Air Cargo leadership team met with FedEx leadership and members of the feeder network at the Annual Regional Air Cargo Carriers Association (RACCA) event held in Scottsdale, AZ, this past week. RACCA is dedicated to representing and serving the interests of our member Part 135 and Part 121 cargo carriers. More than 50 FAA-certificated air carriers are regular members, and many more companies involved in the service and support of these operators have also joined RACCA.
Recognizing that this dynamic, growing industry lacked an effective and dedicated voice representing it before the federal government, the aviation community, and the media, RACCA was formed in 2002. Since then, the association has been extremely fortunate to count as its members more than 95 percent of all aircraft operators eligible for membership. This means about 1,000 aircraft serving smaller communities each day in the United States and internationally are operated by RACCA members.
The following were the topics discussed that this year’s event:
- Emerging Technologies
- Safety Management Systems
- Aviation legal matters / Hazardous Materials
- TSA Air Cargo security
- Changes/demands in the freight market
By establishing and fostering close contacts within the industry, MAC, WASI, and CSA Air’s successes include – Forging close working relationships with other aviation organizations, improving relationships with manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring a safe and secure operating environment & promoting modernization of existing regulations impacting our world today.
