Mountain Air Cargo Sponsors 30th Annual Pink Ribbon Open
Members of our team were lucky enough to attend the Annual Pink Ribbon Open (PRO) in Memphis, TN, earlier in the week where we had the opportunity to meet with our customer and other individuals from the feeder network for this great cause. The PRO was founded by a group of passionate volunteers who shared the belief that they could make a difference in women’s health including breast cancer treatment and prevention. Nearly 100% of all funds raised at this event are returned as grants to healthcare organizations in the Greater Memphis Area.
The PRO is an annual LPGA event, hosted by the Cancer Eradication Initiative where the proceeds are for the benefit of the medically underserved. Our MAC, CSA Air & WASI families, provide sponsorship and charitable donations to this wonderful event each year, and are always looking for ways to contribute meaningfully to causes we support and share with our customers. We are eternally proud to be affiliated with this event – because “giving back” is the right thing to do.
About the Pink Ribbon Open: The Pink Ribbon Open is officially known as the Breast Cancer Eradication Initiative. Our 501(c)(3) started 28 years ago in 1994 as a LPGA Pro AM fundraiser. In the past 29 years, over 4.5 million dollars has been granted to local organizations for treatments, screenings, and education. www.pinkribbonopen.org
“My passion for this cause comes from seeing the difference we make in so many lives,” said PRO Founder, Joan Matthews. “When we began in 1994, there were very few resources for the uninsured or underinsured in our community facing the diagnosis of breast cancer. Now, with the funds generated from the PRO, we can provide grants for research, screenings, and treatment for those in need.”
